Hasty v. Hasty (Wyoming 1992)

In a child support modification suit brought on behalf of a child from the non-custodial parent’s first marriage, the court was correct when it held that the children born to the petitioner’s later marriage should not be factored into the child support guidelines matrix set forth in this section. However, the court erred when it concluded that it had to strictly apply the guidelines set forth in this section and could not take into consideration the parent’s later-born minor children for purposes of determining the modification award, as the court may consider responsibility for later born children pursuant to former W.S. § 20-6-302(b)(iv) (now § 20-2-307).
