$4 Billion Payments Processed and a Decade of Service!
This month, the Kansas Payment Center (KPC) celebrated its ten-year anniversary. A successful public-private partnership between the Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) and YoungWilliams, the KPC has processed more than 20.7 million child support receipts, totaling $4 billion dollars. Under YoungWilliams’ management, the KPC has increased the percentage of payments processed electronically from 27% in 2007 to 66% today, contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of the program. Electronic payments are convenient and cost-effective for employers who withhold and remit child support payments on behalf of their employees.
YoungWilliams Executives Co-Author Child Support Book
YoungWilliams Vice Presidents Jeff Ball and Mary Ann Wellbank recently published a book they co-authored, “The Insiders’ Guide to Child Support: How the System Works.” Combined, Ball and Wellbank have over five decades of experience with the national child support enforcement program. “We hope our book will help single and separated parents understand the laws under which government child support (IV-D) programs operate, and educate them as to their rights, responsibilities, and options. New child support professionals might benefit as well.”
Colorado County Selects YoungWilliams for Customer Service
Douglas County Colorado has contracted with YoungWilliams to manage front-end customer service and administrative functions for the County’s Department of Human Services. Under this agreement, YoungWilliams will provide a supervisor and six employees. This is Douglas County’s second contract with YoungWilliams: the firm also provides case management staff for the County’s Child Support Enforcement office in Castle Rock.
Virginia Partners with YoungWilliams
The Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) has entered into a five-year contract with YoungWilliams to operate its new Enterprise Customer Services Center (ESCS), which will support the Divisions of Child Care & Early Childhood Development (CCECD), Benefit Programs (DCBP), and Child Support Enforcement (DCSE). YoungWilliams has partnered with the Commonwealth since 2008, when it began resolving incoming calls to the VDSS Child Support Customer Service Center. Since that time, services have been expanded to include CCECD and DCBP. Other programs may be added in the future.
Alyson Campbell Joins YoungWilliams as Regional VP
An innovative leader in the child support community, Alyson Campbell, has joined YoungWilliams as Regional Vice President. In this capacity, she will oversee YoungWilliams’ full service child support offices in North Carolina and Tennessee. “We are delighted to welcome Alyson aboard,” announced YoungWilliams’ President, Rob Wells. “She is a great addition to our team, and will be a tremendous asset to our government clients.”
YoungWilliams to Provide Statewide Child Support Services
The Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS) has awarded YoungWilliams a contract to operate child support offices serving approximately 256,000 child support cases in 65 counties effective October 1, 2016. YoungWilliams is currently serving 16 counties in southwest Mississippi. When added to its current contract, YoungWilliams will now handle over 300,000 cases in the 82 counties in Mississippi, making this a statewide operation.
Key Bank and YoungWilliams Enter Strategic Partnership
YoungWilliams President Rob Wells announced today that two leaders in their respective industries, YoungWilliams and Key Bank, have entered into a strategic partnership to provide electronic payment solutions to state child support programs around the nation.
KeyBank, originally established in 1825, is one of the largest bank- based financial services companies with more than 1,200 branches and 1,500 automated teller machines (ATM) in 15 states. YoungWilliams is one of the nation’s foremost providers of child support services with operations in 10 states.
New Mexico Awards Customer Service Support Center to YW
The New Mexico Human Services Department Child Support Enforcement Division awarded a two-year contract to YoungWilliams for operation of its Customer Service Support Center. YoungWilliams began answering incoming phone calls on July 1, 2016 and expects to respond to 25,000 calls each month from child support customers. As part of its commitment to New Mexico, YoungWilliams plans to implement a world class contact center using state of the art technology and highly skilled professionals.
Colorado Governor Appoints Jeff Ball to Colorado Guidelines Commission
YoungWilliams’ El Paso County, Colorado project manager has been appointed by Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper to serve a four-year term on the Colorado Guidelines Commission. YoungWilliams’ Attorney Christine Eigel just completed a term on the Commission.
The Commission is charged with reviewing the guidelines that Colorado uses to determine the amount of child support that should be paid by one party to another. The Commission is required to issue a report every four years to the Governor and General Assembly of the results of the review and any recommended statutory changes.
Stapleton Appointed as VP of Customer Contact Centers
John Stapleton has joined YoungWilliams as Vice President of Customer Contact Centers. John will provide executive oversight of YoungWilliams’ customer service center line of business.
An accomplished senior operations executive, Stapleton has over 24 years leadership experience. His background includes management of global multi-national contact centers, where he acquired extensive knowledge of project management, workforce optimization, and process improvement experience.
