New Contracts

YoungWilliams has been awarded a contract to provide Hearing Officer services for the Family Support Division of Missouri’s Department of Social Services (DSS).  As a law firm and a child support service provider, YoungWilliams has the subject matter expertise necessary to fulfill the requirements of this contract.  An attorney for over twenty-years, YoungWilliams’ President Rob Wells will provide oversight to this project while Interim Project Manager Jay Eads, also an experienced attorney, will manage daily operations. “We are working very closely with the State to implement this important initiative,” Wells stated. “We are currently laying the groundwork for a July start-up.”

Under this contract, the YoungWilliams’ Missouri-based hearings officer staff will perform a wide range of functions, including administering pre-hearings activities, conducting administrative hearings, and issuing decisions and orders.  The hearings officers will all be licensed to practice law in Missouri, and members in good standing of the Missouri Bar Association.

YoungWilliams has also committed its proprietary CSLegal technology to this project.  This automated case management and tracking system ensures that cases in the hearings queue progress toward hearing in a timely and orderly manner, and that decisions and orders are issued in accordance with DSS protocols.  In addition to using CSLegal to monitor the status of cases, YoungWilliams has designed a rigorous quality control system to guarantee due process of law, and well-documented decisions and orders.

This is YoungWilliams’ second contract with DSS.  The company has also operated Missouri’s statewide child support call center since 2006, answering about 75,000 calls per month.
