Rutledge elected WICSEC President

Ellen Rutledge, YoungWilliams’ Professional Development Coordinator, was elected President of the Western Intergovernmental Child Support Engagement Council (WICSEC) at its annual conference in October. WICSEC supports child support professionals across the nation with an annual training conference and learning opportunities throughout the year.

Each year, a committee of industry experts plans the conference, which includes selecting sessions that address hot topics in child support services. Session topics include anything from the basics of working in child support to providing customer service to the need for employees to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

“Attending the WICSEC conference is a valuable experience for any child support professional,” Rutledge said. “It is a great opportunity to exchange ideas, learn about practices in other state, and network with colleagues. I always learn something new.”
